I'm running Advanced Tomato v3.5-140 AIO-64K on a Netgear R8000. My log is filling up with the following warnings repeating every 6-9 seconds. My web searches haven't turned up anything useful to go on. I'm hoping it's configuration related but I don't know where to start.

Mar 20 12:01:37 unknown kern.warn kernel: dhd_prot_flow_ring_delete sending FLOW RING Delete req msglen 40

Help me get more than 600 Mbps on my Asus RT-AC68R/U running FreshTomato 2019.1 K26ARM USB VPN-64K on the 5 GHz bandwidth. I've tried several Channel/Channel Width/Control Sideband combination and that's the max that I can get. My understanding is that I should be able to get up to 900-1300... My mac verifies that what appears on status is what I'm actually getting.

Hi,

I flashed freshtomato-E3200USB-NVRAM32K_RT-N5x-MIPSR2-2019.1-Mega-VPN.bin to E3200 router which originally running Shibby tomato-E3200USB-NVRAM60K-1.28.RT-N5x-MIPSR2-140-Mega-VPN.bin. Did 30/30/30 reset. I saw one warning message in Administration --Configuration page, see below snapshot.
View attachment 6088

I erased NVRAM and reboot the router but still seeing this message. I never had this message when running Shibby's firmware. What is the problem?

Thanks

I just upgraded to the newest FreshTomato [2019.1]
When I upgraded, it checked the "clear nvram" box.

I've put most of my config back in place, but it did reboot a few times during the configuration.

I'd like to see if there is anything in the logs... So I try refreshing the log page several times - I haven't been able to catch anything that points me to a possible cause, but I assume I'm missing the error due to the reboot and loss of the log.

Is there a way to get the logs to go...

SSH tunnel to forward web traffic only works thru LAN IP

I have been using putty (on my laptop) to establish a SSH tunnel back to home router (which runs the SSH server) for web browsing at unsecured public wifi for quite some time. However, some time ago (probably a couple of months ago), it stopped working.

The setup is similar to:

OpenVPN won't use AES-256 encryption

Before upgrading to FreshTomato, I was running Shibby 140 on an ASUS AC-3200. Using OpenVPN, my laptop would connect using AES-256-CBC.

After upgrading to FreshTomato, I can only get AES-128. My laptop's configuration didn't change, though I later upgraded to the latest version of OpenVPN, but that didn't change anything.

On the router, I have Cipher Negotiation set to Enabled w/Fallback. The Legacy/Fallback Cipher is set to AES-256-CBC. I also tried the fallback to AES-128-CBC without any...

Bandwidth Limiter vs. QOS

I am using Shibby/Tomato Firmware 1.28.0005 107 ND SD-VPN and I have a user that at times uses a large amount of bandwidth while I am using VOIP. I was wondering if I should limit his bandwidth using the Bandwidth Limiter built into this firmware or use the QOS settings. Can anyone give me some guidance on this? I am leaning towards the bandwidth limiter because it seems to be allowing me to limit his usage over all of the bandwidth as opposed to just when VOIP is involved....

How to flash Linksys EA6300v1, EA6400, EA6500v2, EA6700, EA6900v1.0/1.1 with Tomato.
The EA6300v1 uses the same firmware as EA6400 since the routers are exactly the same.

WARNING:
If anything goes wrong this can brick your router and I will not be held responsible if that happens. You're doing this at your own risk.

For these router a different CFE needs to be flashed otherwise only 32k of NVRAM can be used and that is not enough but for the most basic setup....

Info
Tinc automatically sets up a mesh VPN between multiple nodes in a network. Each daemon will communicate directly to every other daemon if possible. I find it very easy to setup, even if you only want to connect only two Nodes.

Linksys EA6500 v2 troubleshooting...

Good day!

I have Linksys EA6500 v2. I am installing the firmware from tomato 1.40 AIO and in getting the next problem. After flashing or full reset everything works fine. But if you turn off the router or reboot it, then the firmware stops detecting the router and the Wi-Fi disappears. nvram loses parameter boardnum=01.
If I write this parameter, then after rebooting it is still not there.

Tell me why the router behaves this way and what can I want to solve this problem?...

The original first message of this thread, when tomato was not yet ported, can be found at the bottom of this post. Tomato is now operational on the F9K1102 (v1 and v3 only), so I've changed the first post to reflect this.

Tomato has been ported to the Belkin N600 DB Wireless N+ (F9K1102 v1 and v3 only). A screenshot is attached to this post. Unfortunately, stability has been an issue; frequent reboots have been reported by several users. This project is on hiatus as I have...

I have an ASUS RT-AC66u and I am using Tomato by Shibby 140 AIO 64K

I've used a different 3rd party firmware previously and have set up a guest network with no problem. However I encountered a bug with it's WPA2 implementation if you have a Wi-Fi printer it will drop and be inaccessible until you reboot either the router or printer and remain for only a couple of hours. Flashed Tomato by Shibby and Printer works fine and is stable, awesome build.

Unstable initial wifi connection - one client only

I'm not sure when this problem started, but over the last few weeks I've noticed that one client on my network (a Lenovo laptop) has trouble when connecting to a Tomato router wirelessly, but only for the first couple of minutes. None of the other clients exhibit this problem.

Pings from the device for the last minute or so of the unstable period look like this:

Code:

Here's what I would like to do:
Create 2 Wireless LANs on separate bridges and VLANs and uplink it to an EdgeRouter at the other end.

Code:
GuestWLAN1AP-->BR1(VLAN10) \                        / VLAN10 Subnet 192.168.10.0/24 with DHCP
            (Tomato-140)    =>Tags(10/20) on wire <=    (EdgeRouter)
GuestWLAN2AP-->BR2(VLAN20) /                        \ VLAN 20 Subnet 192.168.20.0/24 with DHCP

I made all of the bridge and VLAN configurations but for some reason when I test with...

Absolute Tomato vs. Fresh Tomato

I am enjoying Absolute Tomato on my Netgear R8000 but the fact that it hasn't been updated in quite some time is sitting in the back of my mind. Fresh Tomato is clearly the most active version in constant development and I am considering migrating over. Am I missing out on anything by sticking with Absolute Tomato? The threads I've been going through seem to indicate it is quite stable and most of things that people gripe about are bells and whistles they'd like to have added on. Thanks.

Guest Wi-Fi Internet Access

Hello everybody.
I need some advice regarding Wi-Fi Internet access for guests.
I'm using Advanced Tomato on an Asus RT-N10U.

Actually I don't understand properly if this is a GUI bug (I mean, that the GUI doesn't apply some policy rules when settings), if it's strictly related to Tomato or if it's supposed to work like this.

Anyway, to make it simple: I've setup a Wi-Fi guest network like described on learntomato / setup-guest-network-guest-wifi-tomato-vlan (I cannot insert URLs yet, I...
