Is it possible to alter the VLAN GUI so the port order shows correctly? I have a fresh firmware install and my NVRAM has been cleared (thorough).

Here are the physical port states. This is correct. Port 4 is for my IPTV and is on VLAN2. Everything works perfectly.


The NVRAM shows like this (also correct):
# nvram show | grep vlan.ports
vlan0ports=
vlan1ports=1t 2t 3t 8*
vlan2ports=4 8
vlan3ports=8
vlan4ports=8...

I recently bought a pair of ASUS RT-AC3200 routers to improve connectivity in my house.
Until now I have been using a R7000 (running Fresh Tomato 2017.2) as a gateway connected to a Zyxel NBG6515 using WDS. While working, this setup is performance wise a dog.

However, I have been unable to get the Wireless Ethernet Bridge working on the AC3200 (with Fresh Tomato 2019.1). The WiFi link comes up as the router appears in the device list but it is not getting an IP address via DHCP as it...

I have the following configuration on my DNSMASQ configuration:

Code:

domain=domain.com,192.168.0.0/24,local

domain-needed
bogus-priv

cname=app1.domain.com,nas.domain.com
cname=app2.domain.com,nas.domain.com
cname=app3.domain.com,nas.domain.com

This sets the domain "domain.com" for all devices in my LAN and a few CNAMEs to point some custom web apps to where they are hosted (in the NAS).

Hello
I am using an Asus AC68U router (rev A2) which is equipped with firmware
AsusWRT-Merlin 384.9 and I want to test FreshTomato 2019.1.
What is the best way to proceed?
current firmware ---> FreshTomato or
current firmware ---> original Asus firmware (3.0.0.4 ?) ---> FreshTomato
or another ?

I've already got an isolated Guest WiFi network, segregated from the main network. It is as fast and responsive as the main network.

• This is all done through the VLAN & Virtual Wireless GUI, for the most part (also used Basic > Network to set up br1, DHCP, etc.).
• AP3 and Gateway have Port3 each tagged as shown.

Hi, maybe someone knows. my setup is I used static DHCP for all my devices and enabled "ignore unknown device" on BR0 to prevent anyone to connect. the problem is now I wanted to setup guest wifi on BR1, but ofcourse this doesn't work when ignore unknown device is on. anyway to bypass it maybe via command?

hey guys

I just got a asus rt-n66u and tried to install tomato to it for the first time, after holding down the reset button and plugin the power cable for RT-N66U and go into firmware restoration utility and upload Tomato after couple of seconds I get "the wireless router is not in rescue mode"
anybody know what I am doing wrong?

Hi!
As the title states I am trying to set up my Asus RT-AC68U running the latest build of FreshTomato behind an Edgerouter Lite.

The reason is that I got fiber-to-home installed and now I want to connect our guest house to the same line as our main building. I already have a LAN cable running between the two buildings. I could have created two VLAN on my Asus router but because I want the Asus router to exclusively serve my main building I bought an Edgerouter Lite to handle LAN...

Interesting ac1900 router released recently by Tenda and is on sale for $80. It uses the same bcm4708A0 and bcm4360 chips as Asus RT-AC68U, and the appearance is very similar too. Wonder if anyone had any success with the ac68u Shibby release on it?

As you already noticed entware-ng (http://pkg.entware.net/binaries/mipsel) doesn't get updated anymore.
The repo on github is archived (read-only) and all the development moved to entware repo.
It now supports MIPSsel with kernel >= 3.4 which means john's fork (+ older merlin installs) and freshtomato are left without an updated repo.
For my own usage I've found some time to update and compile...

I've got an ASUS RT-N66U running Tomato Firmware 1.28.0000 MIPSR2-115 K26 USB AIO-64K. This thing has been rock solid for me for several years.

I only use the 2.4Ghz radio. I have a main VLAN bridged to our main wifi that my wife and I use. I have a second VLAN bridged to a second virtual SSID for our son, which gives me some control over his internet access and keeps him and his friends off of our network.

Hi,
this is my first post and I hope you can help me.

Well... my problem is very weird.

I have a router on which I used to have DD-WRT until some days ago.
I had my openvpn and everything worked fine.
Just used the policies (in GUI) in order to make only some clients go through the VPN and Netflix had no problems whatsoever.

I have an nt-r16 that I am using dual wan for in Tomato. Unfortunately, the nt-r16 doesn't support quad wan. I also want better usb storage performance and the best way to get that is with a faster cpu on the router. I know that some routers like the Netgear 3200 have a dual core 1ghz chip but are there any routers that have a 1.4ghz chip? Basically, are there any newer routers that support tomato?
