NoCat External Splash Screen

Hi,

I'm trying to show an external site as splash screen to get name and email from the visitor, it could be easy but iptables won't let me access to that server in aws.

There is a way yo achieve this? I try in the exclude url but it doesn't work neither.

Any help please?

Can't get multiwan working!

I've got an asus RT-N16. I just flashed the 2019.1 freshtomato firmware yesterday on to it and have been trying to set up multiwan.

I have two internet connections, one fiber and one cable.

Either one works if I plug it into the WAN port. Neither one works when plugged into the WAN2 port (lan1). Neither works in WAN2 with or without anything plugged into WAN.

Does anyone know what the issue is? I've attach some screen caps for you. View attachment 6077 View attachment 6078 ...

Running Freshtomato 2019.5 beta

This morning I found my router unresponsive. Rebooted and checked the logs. Found plenty of references to something like this:

Periodic Reset - E2500 v1

My router seems to be resetting itself every 24-48 hours or so.
I can find no rhyme or reason for it. I did another ERASE ALL NVRAM and this time made no alterations other than WIFI name and encryption to see if it stabilizes.

I previously had made changes to:
Default Router IP and DHCP ranges
Enabled Afterburner on both radios.
Router name and hostname.
Randomized the default wireless mac addresses.
Change default wireless power to 0 on both radios so it would use the default output....

SNAT vs. Masquerade...

Just curious if anyone's noticed any adverse or beneficial effects from using SNAT instead of Masquerade in Victek's RAF mod.

Specifically, I've seen that it should be marginally quicker in NAT'ing since it doesn't look at the WAN IP when sending out packets from LAN hosts.

I've also read that it's typically not used with DHCP'd WAN IP addresses (most home cable modem users and quite a few home DSL users, I would suspect) because the NAT table gets screwed up if the IP changes,...

Greetings,

I was attempting to incorporate a PiHole onto my home network. I had done it before, as a test, and everything seemed fine. This morning a made a couple of changes to my Tomato setup (On A Netgear device), and now the web interface is not responding.

The changes I made were: 1- changed the advanced network dhcp settings to point to the pihole, rather than the default for tomato. The OTHER change I made, was, (And I honestly don't know WHY I did this) to "check network" or...

How can I reconfigure services via telnet/ssh?

On the download page for the Netgear WNR3500v2, the MD5 is clearly displayed for the older images, but not the current version (unless I'm missing something..?).

It would be nice if the MD5 were clearly displayed below the "Download" button.

Nowhere on this site, AdvancedTomato, or MyOpenRouter, was I able to locate the MD5... so, I downloaded it 3x and compared the results from all 3 files. Since they matched, I deduced that they were probably OK....

Hi!
As the title states I am trying to set up my Asus RT-AC68U running the latest build of FreshTomato behind an Edgerouter Lite.

The reason is that I got fiber-to-home installed and now I want to connect our guest house to the same line as our main building. I already have a LAN cable running between the two buildings. I could have created two VLAN on my Asus router but because I want the Asus router to exclusively serve my main building I bought an Edgerouter Lite to handle LAN...

Just got a Charter version Netgear R6300v2

I followed the instruction from internet to convert Charter R6300v2 to native Netgear R6300v2

use telnetenable

run command

telnetenable 192.168.1.1 ROUTERSMACADDRESS admin password

then use putty to connect to telnet 192.168.1.1 port 23

type command

burnboardid U12H240T00_NETGEAR

then type command

nvram set board_id=U12H240T00_NETGEAR

then you should be able to update your charter netgear R6300v2CH...​

ASUS RT-AC3200, difference between the two 5G wifi band?

I just flashed the router with FT 2019.1. I tried to figure out what are the difference between the two 5G wifi band. Did some googling, however nothing really is clear to me. Also, my laptop only sees the 5G-1 and 2.4G. It does not seem to see the 5G-2. Currently all band are set to "auto" for wireless mode and channel.

Hello, I use the router ASUS RT-68U as Wlan Repeater. The router is connected to the internet router via the WAN port. I have a line with 1Gbit/s but with the Freshtomato firmware I only get a quarter of the total bandwidth.
How can I get the full bandwidth?

Interesting ac1900 router released recently by Tenda and is on sale for $80. It uses the same bcm4708A0 and bcm4360 chips as Asus RT-AC68U, and the appearance is very similar too. Wonder if anyone had any success with the ac68u Shibby release on it?

VLAN for some wired ports to seperate IoT devices

I'm running AdvancedTomato 3.5-140, moving to the current FreshTomato release next week, on a Netgear R8000. I've successfully created a guest VLAN for the 2.4GHz wireless for guests and my son's XBox One.

I have a smart TV and Tivo box wired to router via cat6 and would like to put 3 of the 4 wired ports on a separate VLAN to keep the TV & Tivo box from snooping the rest of my home network. I've searched and haven't found instructions for doing this.

Is a VLAN the right way to go to?...

Hi all,

I have a fresh tomato image running on my netgear R7000 im impressed with all its features but im not happy about how the remote access web page saves on my iphone/ipad, it looks dreadful.

Is there a possability an icon can be saved in the firmwares gui folder? if so how would i do this?

I had to do this on a webapge i was hosting on my server, added several .png's with some HTML code added to the index.php file, the result made the webpage save as an icon image rather than a...
