I think this is very relevant considering the amount of tunneling/VPNing/TORing tomato can do nowadays.

Blocking internet of an DHCP assigned static IP, but allowing internal LAN network to get to device

I have a Rasberry Pi that DHCP assigns a static IP address (Based on it's MAC address) to it at 192.168.2.12 with the Local gateway at 192.168.2.1, I want to block internet traffic to it and from it, but I do want local LAN network traffic access to the Rasberry Pi (only internally) . How can I do this in iptables and the AdvanceTomato router script? (If this is the best / easiest way).

Execute command when public IP changes

Hi. i want to execute a shell script in my router (Linksys EA 6500v2 running FreshTomato Firmware 2021.2, entware enabled) when my public IP changes ... something like DDNS but with code 😅

so, a little background:
My ISP provides a cablemodem (called customer service and they configured it in bridge mode), and in Freshtomato with this settings:

OpenVPN client connection parameters

Hi everybody,
when I export the OpenVPN client configuration files from my OpenVPN Server on FreshTomato 2021.1 and then I open the connection.ovpn file, at the bottom I can read the following parameters:

keepalive 15 60
resolv-retry infinite
nobind
float
verb 3
status status
; log /var/log/openvpn.log

Should I have to change them, let them as they are, or can I remove them?

[Test] Asus RT-AC1750_B1 FT Support?

The Asus RT-AC1750_B1 (that's model B1) is not listed as supported. It is the equivalent of the RT-AC66U_B1 (with USB2 and 3) as the US Retail Edition (like the old "R" series in older products). I have the HW:B2 available for testing. I believe there was also an A1 and B1 in the RT-AC66U_B1 series, but uncertain if those HW versions exist in the US Retail model. The HW:B2 I have on hand is 2017 production date.

Netgear R7000 Lan Ports Showing Unplugged status?

Recently flashed my Netgear R7000 to FreshTomato 2021.2 using "freshtomato-R7000-2021.2-initial-64K" then "freshtomato-R7000-ARM_NG-2021.2-AIO-64K". Everything looks normal, I can browse around the admin page, set a hostname, set up Wifi for both the 2.4 & 5ghz radios, do standard getting-started type config stuff, and while the first LAN port works fine connected to my PC the other three LAN ports are showing as "Unplugged" despite being plugged in to other devices (a switch, a NAS, XBox...

Logging path for external storage (USB)

Hi,
I am trying to store logs & stats on an usb stick.
The stick is mounted (Partition 'sda1' ext3 (56.40 GB / 56.10 GB free) ) and I can access it via SMB over the local network.
However stat saving is not working. I tried a lot like /tmp/mnt/sda1, /mnt/sda1, /sda1 ...

None worked. What is the correct address?

FreshTomato MIPS 2021.2 - Using DDNS issue

I have a Linksys E4200 and used the file freshtomato-E4200USB-NVRAM60K_RT-N5x-MIPSR2-2021.2-Mega-VPN.bin. When I configure DDNS to use OpenDNS which I have configured to block a lot of content such as facebook, etc., the clients that connect to the router do not seem to be using OpenDNS. I have checked the Use as DNS box in the DDNS configuration right below where I enter my OpenDNS credentials. In parentheses right below the box it does says Current DNS and then shows the correct OpenDNS...

Ive never had a VPN before but I recently got back into file sharing after a 20 year long hiatus. Looking for a VPN service and wondering what other Fresh-Tomato users are using?
I am located in the USA and looking for a low cost router based vpn to use alongside the BitTorrent client in the router at https://192.168.129.81/nas-bittorrent.asp

This problem is tested occurring on RT-AC56U & R, and the RT-AC68R, using Ethernet Bridge. The problem is verified on 5GHz band EB in all models and on 2.4GHz band on the RT-AC68R. If necessary, I can test the 2.4GHz EB on the RT-AC56U/R for further verification.

Scenario: Updated routers from 2020.8 (stable) to 2021.1 with NVRAM clear checked. Router configured for Ethernet Bridge from LAN connected workstation and verified working back to main router. Shutdown of workstation and wait...

I am running FreshTomato Firmware 2021.2 K26ARM USB AIO-64K on a netgear R7000.
I have a VPN connection (client #1/tun11) setup on my router. In the VPN routing policy I have my server IP set to make use of the VPN.

When the VPN is up, the server traffic goes over the VPN as expected. If the VPN failed the server was being exposed to the internet, and that is a problem for me.

To stop the server from hitting the open internet, I am using this as my firewall script (where 30 is my server...
