Should I upgrade from a EA6900 to a R8000?

Hello,

I have been using FreshTomato on the EA6900 for quite some time and it is working really nice and stable (thanks devs). I have a 600 mbits connection and it appears that the EA6900 can not reach it but it is really close (so not that big of a problem). Do you guys think that if I upgrade to a R8000 I will get more performance and better wifi capabilities? I can get the R8000 fairly cheap.
