Shibby Tomato Firmware 1.28.0000 MIPSR1-123 K26 USB VPN

I’m wondering whether anyone else is experiencing the following problem, or perhaps you’re having similar problems but don’t realize this could be the cause.

By default, the tomato OpenVPN client specifies the following directives:

Code:
persist-tun
resolv-retry 30
And by default, the tomato OpenVPN server uses the following directive:

Code:
keepalive 15 60
The combination of these settings means...

More than 2 DDNS providers in Tomato

I found a very old similar thread on the subject: https://www.linksysinfo.org/index.php?threads/e2000-tomato-with-3-ddns.69207/
I am not sure if it is still accurate. I want to use more than two DDNS providers. Customs URL's will do. How to accomplish this best?

I see that the DDNS webpage of Tomato simply modifies two NVRAM variables: ddnsx0 and ddnsx1. I guess I could assign values to variables ddnsx2 to ddnsx9 (easy as I just want to use custom URL's) but will it work? Will...

Wireless Site Survey Weirdness

I'm in the process of upgrading my router from an RT-N66U to an RT-AC68U (converted from TM-1900AC). Overall everything has gone smoothly from updating the cfe to installing tomato firmware.

My problem is that when I run a Wireless Site Survey the values for "Noise" are "0" or "-2" and "Quality" are all "0". Every other column populates correctly, including the "RSSI" values.

Is this the standard behavior for an RT-AC68U? If not, is there a command I can run in NVRAM to fix/activate this...

Advice installing script-adblock-not-so-lean

Hi everyone:

I could use some advice on setting up a more thorough adblocker. Right now, I'm just using a whole bunch of manually inserted domains in Access Restrictions. But I'd like to take it up a notch.

I have an Asus RT-N12 running v1.28.0506 MIPSR2Toastman-RT-N K26 Mini. The SoC is
Broadcom BCM47162 chip rev 0 pkg 2. Is this too old to run adblock-not-so-lean or the original adblock script?

If it could run the script well, how much work is it going to be for me to set this...

Greetings,

I am not so networking advanced. I am connected to the internet through a cable router(tv cable
/ coaxial). Router: Netgear C6250EMR

2 questions please:

1. I would like to set the vpn client directly on the main primary cable router, if this is really not possible the bridge mode would be the last option.

Do you consider it could be possible if I will contact my ISP, they could help me with one of the next 2 options?

a) Modify at least for me(or for all their routers) the...

Dual Router R7000 with Apple Airport Extreme

After I've recently had terrible success setting up my OpenVPN with DD-WRT and IPVanish, I was thinking of giving Tomato a try. I have a few questions:

I want to have a dual router setup, R7000 for VPN and Apple Airport for my main. Will this work properly, I really want to get faster speeds out of my VPN. My normal ISP speeds are around 100mbps. Through IPVanish app on my computer I'm getting around 10mbps. I knew i'd take a speed hit, just didn't think that much.

I'm sure the best...

Reducing NVRAM usage

So, we all know about the issue of going over 32KB NVRAM usage and the problems it can cause. Or whatever the exact tipping point is, because its not exactly 32KB for me, its a little bit more. If I remember correctly, the highest I could go was about 35KB and not have issues.

I have a Linksys E3200 running AdvancedTomato 3.4-140 and in an effort of freeing up some NVRAM space (documented below) I also found the sshd_dsskey setting. If this setting was left empty (or removed altogether) it...

Restrict access and clarification of UDP multicast traffic

Hi guys,

one question : is there a possibility to restrict access and to do the clarification of UDP multicast traffic ? My ISP modem sends UDP multicast to the router and from there to my own STB (over udpxy).
From 6 am to 4 pm i don't want for my kids to be able to watch Tv on multicast. What about clarification of UDP multicast traffic ? I tried Qos and Access restriction and no combination works.
Using Asus RT-N16 with latest Toastman mod, but thinking to switch on latest 140 Shibby....

Step-by-step guide on how to implement VPN Kill Switch for selective routing policies

The new VPN Routing Policy in Tomato by Shibby v131 is amazing! It makes the setting up of very useful advanced routing to be a breeze.

To compliment the new feature, I was looking for an effective selective VPN Kill Switch that will prevent leaks if the VPN looses connection, but will not affect the devices that are not routed through the VPN.

There were...

Hi there,

I'm happy user of Tomato USB from Shibby. I have a Netgear WRN3500Lv2.

Yesterday I installed the tomato App for VyperVPN that basically add a Submenu to connect the router to out VPN.

I have some issue with this app, so I decided to reset to default my router including the NVRAM in order to remove completely the app.

After the restart the VyperVPN menu persist.

How can I remove completely the app?

Is there an Hard reset?

Thanks!

Getting ready to install Tomato Shibby on my RT-N66U and would like to understand the difference between the K26RT-N firmware vs the K26RT-AC firmware. Not sure which one to install, can anyone tell me the differences and advantages and disadvantages of each. Or point me to a location that will explain those differences.

Important: none of my below statements should be taken to mean "TomatoUSB sucks!" I do not think that at all. I want to be clear on that point. I just think it's a project that's -- respectfully, please! -- stagnant because we can't improve all the things we need to given lack of manpower and being stuck on binary blobs.

I've purchased a Mikrotik RB2011UiAS-2HnD-IN (will be here in a couple weeks) and plan on playing with it (and...

Is it possible to set up Tomato so that my router is a "Wireless Client" and an "OpenVPN Client" at the same time?

I have set up many that were "Access Points" and "OpenVPN Clients", but never one where I reversed the router into the less common "Wireless Client" mode. Is this possible with Tomato?

My use case is my parents new senior living community. They have wireless, and only wireless, supplied to their apartment. I don't like the idea of them logging into the same WiFi subnet as...
