Asus AC66U: Time and Logs reset on boot

I've installed the latest Tomato on an Asus RT-AC66U. Despite setting the time server (U.S.) and having logs set, the time gets reset on boot (to Dec 31 1969!) and the logs are completely lost.

This is probably a newbie question, but what should I do to address this? I'm trying to track down a sporadic reboot, but this seems like a bigger symptom.
