How to set up IP traffic for a basic family network

I am a great fan of the Tomato Firmware and have been running a version or other of it on my WR54GL since 2011 mainly to monitor bandwith and to boost power. With my children growing up I would now like to keep a watchfull eye on what devices are connecting and the amount of time each one spends on the web so upgraded to Toastman Tomato in order to make use of IP traffic monitoring.
